Fantasy Football.
I like it. I play it. I read Matthew Berry's columns. This is my ode to him while trashing the guys in my league. Enjoy.

On the other side of the field, the week off helps the Patriots immensely. Tom Brady's high ankle sprain has been widely publicized this week, and he gets to benefit this week from some much needed rest. Ditto for some of the aging veterans on the Pats defense, especially the linebacker corps. A week off to tend to some of the more nagging bumps and bruises could be akin to jumping in the Fountain of Youth for guys like Junior Seau and Tedy Bruschi. Finally, a week off affords Bill Belichick the luxury of an extra seven days' worth of preparation. Truly a master of football strategy, and having already played the Giants less than a month ago, Belichick can use this extra time to work an airtight strategy for success.

Hate is the best form of admiration, not imitation. Quarterback Tom Brady has everything a man could possibly ask for. But I’m tired of hearing his so-called “Cinderella” story. Of how he was selected in the sixth round in the NFL Draft, of how he jumped rope as a kid to keep his feet quick, and now how he reminds former NFL coach and current broadcaster, John Madden, of Joe Montana.

Tom Brady received the most recognition capturing the MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Award, plus being named to the All Pro team. This season Brady established established career highs for completions (389), completion percentage (68.9), passing yards (4,806), passer rating (117.2), and touchdown passes (50), certainly a season worthy of the recognition he received. He was not however, a unanimous winner in the MVP nor was he a unanimous selection to the All Pro Team. One vote split his votes between Brady and Brett Farve. The Patriots did one unanimous selection to the All Pro team. That was Randy Moss. LaDainian Tomlinson was the only other unanimous selection. The other All Pro's for the Patriots were: First Team-Matt Light, Mike Vrabel, and Assante Samuel; Second Team-Wes Welker, Dan Koppen, Vince Wilfork and Logan Mankins. Last year the Patriots did not have any player on the All Pro First Team.
